"Why am I here? How can I find meaning in my life? How can I have a better
relationship with God? Who is God, anyway? Can I have a spiritual life if
I don't believe in God? I feel drawn to another religion, and I feel
lost--can you help me?"
These are just a few questions that spiritual directors hear every day in
their ministries. Spiritual directors listen to people and accompany them
on their spiritual paths as they explore these and other questions.
Increasingly, this work is being done in an interfaith context. Dr. Heart's colleagues have selected her as the Hawaii Regional Representative for Spiritual Directors International (SDI), an international interfaith organization of professionals engaged in providing spiritual direction for clients around the globe.
